The Navy Center for Applied Research in Artificial Intelligence has been involved in both basic and applied research in artificial intelligence since its inception in 1982. The Center consists of an Intelligent Systems Laboratory and a Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory with research sections in Intelligent M4 (Multimodal/Multimedia) Systems and Interface Design and Evaluation.
